Laugh MY turn, HP estimate...............

Hehehe...........

360 incher, mild ported 587 heads, adjustable rockers, 750 Edelbrock, 360* Offey intake (Dual Port), 275DEH comp cam, (275/284, 462/482, 110LC)

Internal balanced, hones with plates.............

I was thinking 350-375?

Or, 425 dwc horsepower. well, with a thermoquad..........

You aint gettin 425hp with that. Not even with a TQ. Better get a camcarb, intake and lot more if you want 425. Bet you wont get 350 with it either.

1.88, a 2.02 valve wouldn't do me any good.

dwc? It will have more HP than your 400HP race engines.............

I think 1HP per inch should be obtainable............

The problem appears to be the specs on the cam, is that duration spec @50? Lotta duration on a small block is a bottom end killer, a 500 lift with duration under 230 would be much better for this combo. Bet that thing has a lopey idle sound bitching and drags until about 3000 RPM and then things happen. Or maybe you are running some 410+ gears and 3500+ stall!!!!!!!!!

.050 duration is 219/235, sorry..................

It has 4:88 gears, and will have a slightly looser stall, probably about 1900-2200.
I have the same cam in my circle track truck engine, and it works nice with the stock TC, not real great, but doesn't lag................and it is in a 318, instead of a 360. Idle rolls along, kinda choppy, headers make it sound meaner than it is. The reason I chose this cam, was because it worked so good fo r me before.

My OTHER 318, had a 290/290 @.050 roller in it, there was no lope, just a bunch of slobbery noise, and it didn't clean up till 3600, free.

This engine is going in a 74 one ton truck, si I cant have a high stall.

Point one, major B.S.

Point two, not even freakin close to one of my race engines.

Point three, it is, but not with your combo.
