Question 440 rotating assembly balance job

I just got my new connecting rods from 440 source. I beams. and it came with a sheet telling the weight of the small end and big end. What does this tell me. and how close should they be grams wise or is it not a big deal. I was told its not and that it will be compensated for when the crank is balanced. any thing special i should know before having the assembly balanced?

They should be close. (As all the small ends should be close to each other and all the bigs ends close to each other) You would like to have everything as close to neutral as possible. Many connecting rods have pads at the that can be removed to get the wieght close to each other

I bought the H beams from 440source.The data sheet packed with them said they are all matched to within a half gram or something. It also said DO NOT cut on them. All the weight removal should be done on the pistons and crank.I just took all my stuff to the mach shop,so we'll see what they do.

That sounds good. Have your machinist check that the ends are perfectly round. The 440source stuff is a great bargain but you should expect to have to do some work on the parts.
