Exclamation to sell or not "x" heads???!!

okay here is the deal.. i have a freshly built 318 and the guy who built it put a great set of "x" heads on it.. its in a 4dr so i dont think i can get the amount of torque i'm looking for.. so i'm looking to get rid of this! i know i want 300 for the shortblock and the trans.. but i'm not sure if i can let go of the heads.. by the way the block get every thing but the heads like intake carb you the works.. i'm putting in a big block so i dont need the heads but my roomate says he will kill me if i get rid of them.. what are you thoughts.. any offers as well? i will let it all go for the right price..

If the price is right, I'd like to have them. Send me a PM if you want to get rid of them.

Sell them, I have a set sitting on a bench, I will likely never use. They are great valuable head for those who are doing a resto

Yeah, I got close to 700 bucks for a virgin set off a 68 on Ebay. I would use that money to get a set of 302's and port work or a set of R/T's or Econo W2's. Thy are not that special to anyone but restorers.

Boy did you rip someone a new one if you got 700 for a set. And people that race use these every chance they get.

Some guy needed a virgin set for a race class that required STOCK heads, no milling, blending/port work, etc and all the ones available were "worked" in some manner. Good for him, great for me

Yeah, I'd say so. Glad I don't need virgins that bad. I knew a virgin would cost ya, but dang, oh wait, I forgot we are talking about heads here ... lol!! I've never paid that much for a set of cast X heads, but you made out good, that's for sure. I think I am going to get some aluminum heads in the near future for a project I have in mind. Have to run cast on the race cars though.
