Nv3500
Does anyone have any information/experience on adapting a NV3500 5 speed from say, a Dakota into an older car (in my case, an A body)? Would it run into the same clearance issues as the A518 and A500 automatics? What else might cause issues? I'm a manual dummy having never actually had a stick shift car to work on, but the idea intreges me. My engine is a 5.2 out of a 92 Dakota so I figure if it can be done I could get all the parts I need from a 1994 - 1996 5 speed V8 Dakota except the clutch petal setup for the car.
I'm just throwing out the NV3500 because I know that's what came with Dakotas. Any other modern manuals which will bolt up to a small block? Anyone? |
