Laugh Guys .... My engine works GREAT

Almost one year ago I made an engine with the same setup and, due to a lot of mistakes, its broked.... OK, Last sunday i completed again..... and...... MY GOD I never drive something stronger... I am happy...... No Smokes, no strange noises , no water with oil... My 1970 Dode dart is very happy too
Look to my setup:
forjed cranck
Eagle H connecting rods
Mopar Commando aluminium heads
all ARP studs
forjed TRW piston
Competition cams 288 machanical Roller cam and lifter
CRane Gold race 1.5 alumninium rocker arms
Victor 340 intake
Summit 18.1 aproved damper
double roller timing chain
750 CFM alcool holley (running ethanol here due to low cost)
11:0 compression
fully balanced
o-ringeg block
windage tray
Hooker super competition headers

The only Drawback... the idle is not so good as I expect

That's great to hear. When are you going to take her to the strip and get some time slip numbers?

I assume that 'alcool' is translated to 'Alcohol'? Does that mean that it has been converted to run with alcohol with larger jets?

Tomorrow I Will post Pictures....
IYes.. Alcool is Alcohol. I did the conversion on Holley like this:

.150 needles
45 squirter with high flow screws
50cc pumps
High flow Power valves on both primary and sec
1/8 PVCR holes
Methering blocks drilled above the main jets with a 50 si]ze drill (jet number) So, I can use the gas ones to tune
I thinking on drilling holes on butterfly, but I am still not shure

Default Freeze

Guys , alcohol here costs R$ 1,60/lt .. gas R$ 2,70/Lt ... Smells much better and We do not send money to any Petrolium shake..
OK, almost double the ammount of fuel on the mixture but... No problems on 13.5:1 compression if you want

Yes... not the carb , but the intake manifold tends to freeze (no always cause we are on a hot place)

Freeze? hmmm

Sounds like something I need to research before converting to Ethanol now that I'm in San Diego...

A simple way to not freeze is using a heated intake manifold. avoid Victors or air gaps
