Gettin closer to havin her done(Done,NEVER!!). Getting paint soon, then carpet, then the bed will get some sort of treatment(haven't decided yet),the 440 runs real strong, almost too strong(yeah right). I need bigger tires!!! I just put 10 inch wheels and 12 inch tires on the back(notice the difference in the polish-what brand polishes the best?) and with the narrower 68 E-body 8 3/4(3.91 sure grip rebuilt),the wheels fit perfect. It pulled a 12.30 at test n tune at Sac Raceway. I had to borrow a SFI Helmet and Reverse lockout shifter from my Drag Race buddy, but I can't keep her from spinning! I need to move my battery back to the passenger side rear(as high as I can get it without going over the fenderwell height and I am going to put a fuel cell in the back soon too). I took off the bumper brackets after I took the pics and put the plate on the back-don't know if I'll run a stock bumper,or not.Haven't got the engine bay completely done either, but I made a torque strap-pretty near what Shumacher makes.More to come.

That's what Im talking about.
I cant believe Im saying this, but that chevy bumper dont look to bad.
I love them old dodge trucks, I have an addiction to them like no other. I have a 62 with a 440, hooking up has never happened, every light I leave it just spins the tires. Oh well, it is fun.

You weren't supposed to tell on me!! It fits(with some fab work),but it doesn't look that good on a chebbie .
I know what you mean about spinning the tires-I almost wrecked the other day, getting on it in a corner. That's a no-no,in my truck, especially in second and third!!!
This is my fourth Dodge Truck and my favorite. The fastest and the coolest. The first one I had was a 73 Power wagon. It had a transplant 318(after I blew the other up)that I hopped up. I had it for 6,or 7 years. Then a 74 power Wagon(just like Simon&Simon's Truck) and it had a Hot 360. It didn't last long. The 75 D-200 is my most recently acquired truck(it was given to me). The guy wanted it gone and said,"I kept anti-freeze in it,but it's been sitting for 10 years!". I told him 'It'll start,it's a Dodge!'. And friend,a squirt of ether, cap and rotor cleanup and it fired. I drove it away(all the way home),with no more than 5 gallons of gas,a small fuel line repair and some brake fluid. Old Dodge trucks rock.
The 65 is real fast. I had the old Torker mani with a 3310 750 on it and it went pretty good. I put the team G on it and it ran like crap, until I put on the 850 DP!!! It really screams now.
How do you like the peep mirror and the chrome window visors?

Here you go DTB,

Get one,you won't regret it-even if you don't have luck like mine. My 65 was a second owner(if you can call it that) it was passed on from Grandpaps to Grandson and had 83,000 original, when I drove it home on the wrinkle head 318 and 435 granny 4 spd power.
I wanted to get some better pics of the ladder bars and a smoky burnout, but my hot wife wasn't home to do the honors.

rebuild one of them then. I did. The green 62 was a rusted out cab. but they make all the parts for them, and is relatively easy to do. I have never ever seen a good cab, but a couple hundred dollars later youll have a better than new floor and rocker.

cool...

the only thing I noticed is the 8.75.... It "could" be trouble if that light rear end ever gets into wheel hop. Especially easy to do on the street with uneven pavement etc...

but very cool truck

Thanks. The ladder bars keep it from hopping and the rear is out of a 68 E Body car(a 742) that is narrower than the old truck 741. Granted,it's not a 9 inch Ford,or Dana 60,but for what I am going to do,it's fine. Anyway,I like the clutch-type sure-grip and it'll handle up to about 600 Hp without failure. It's what most everyone used to use, before the 60 and 9 inch(beside the Olds rear).
