shock extensions
Hi,I have a '74 Dart and was woundering if shock extensions would raise the back alittle. Would it just compress the shocks when I put these on or would it actually raise the back? Does anyone have any pictures of their car with shock extensions?
Thanks |

Shock absorbers, or more correctly 'dampers', are there to control the spring...
The spring holds up the weight of the car. So extending the dampers will only result in them bottoming out and destroying themselves. |

Yes yes, a bad idea.

Call ESPO and get the correct springs.

If you install shackles, you need to extend your shocks or youll get a scary noise when your rear end rebounds as the shocks will extend to their limit and try to pull the mount out of the floorboard. If you raise the rear, look into getting a longer shock, just remember to measure both compressed and extended length. Look on ebay, just saw a set if that is where you want to go with it.
