Smile Need Help Quick. (4" pilot bushing)

The factory crankshaft pilot bushing is too small for my Mopar Perf. 4” crank. (made by Scat I believe).

How do I get the right bushing

I take it that the hole is too big for the small brass bushing. You have only one more shot to get this to work. Get the roller bearing bushing for the 2000 up Dodge Trucks. It fits on the end of hte crank where the converter register is. It's quite large on the O.D. to fit in there. I went and checked. THe one I have has been opened and the number is missing off the bag.

That'll work, why does my crank take that bearing instead of a bushing or Magnum bearing??? Also, is this better than the latter? (Considering that Dodge changed over to these).

I ordered one from NAPA, thanks DWC.

Cheap china scat crank is what it is. The other bearing is better IMO. It has a roller so there is less friction than with the brass bushing. Wished I'd thought of it. I could have posted a pic of the bearing. And your more that welcome.

Default bearing,

Dust,

I can get you that bearing in a day or two, let me know.

And as for the "dirt track star", how about all the 11,10 second cars and some even faster cars with the "cheap" chinese made cranks that will live for several seasons that no one has ever seen break.
Its amazing he can look a picture and tell you who makes it just by the flange, this guy is good. He probably doesn't even know that all the Mopar Performance cranks are from SCAT and have 0 failure rate.

Call Dale Reed in Baldwin Park he builds all the HEMI and MAx wedge motors for Mosher Muscle Cars in Monrovia,California and has had not one engine failure do to a Chinese crank breaking. He even takes the Eagle or Scat cranks that a 4.150 stroke and makes the 4.25, 4.30 etc without even thinking twice.
Tim Hall out of the High Desert has a Super Stock Dart runs in the 9.50 class uses a Scat crank no breakage.

I can go on forever telling you who uses them, I shouldn't even get made when DWC cracks on Chinese parts he thinks a thermobog and X heads are killer.

I gets me upset when a guy like yourself breaks his ass and spends thousand on a great project and someone has to call your parts cheap.

I'm done.

Thanks, I wish you were open on Sundays, really. I ordered it from NAPA. DWC is correct that I need the (about) 1.81” tall bearing that goes on the end, right?

These Mopar Perf. cranks are made in China but finished in the US, right?

It’s reassuring in hearing your (and others) opinion of these cranks. Thank
