SW Tach
Any ideas or suggestions on where else I might mount this beast? It won't fit on the steering column. I am 6' 4" and it is "ok" where I have it but it is a little hidden behind my knee. |

I'd mount it on the right side of he colum. Do you really need to know if your doing 100 or 120?? THen I'd get a better gauge pack and move it where the tach is now so you can read the things.

I can not see any feasible way of mounting it to the column, as I stated before it is too big, as in too deep. Yes, I know those cheap gauges have been in the car since I got it.

I mounted a big tach like that in two different locations. One is attached to the steering column with a simple clamp, Second was under the front of the dash. I rotated the mounting shoe of the tach upwards and attached it to the underside of the dash.

That is so big, you could mount it on your rear sill and see it in your mirror!
