Holy crap, Batman...

Can this be true? I personally think the DC Cust Serv guy was either telling him how many were being made this year for US Consumption. If not, these MicroVans are going to be hot little potatoes!

Opinions? Anyone know or have access to the numbers? This is a MOPAR board, you know... Full of MOPAR fans... With *BIG* ears http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/smile.gif

I find this highly illogical captain.

I heard a different version the other day which sounds pretty realistic.

Chrysler dealers have ordered 70,000 of them thus far.

This one makes sense. My dealer had 18 customer orders when I ordered. Add that to what they plan to put on the floor to sell and multiply by the number of dealers, and the numbers do add up, I'd say.

The 1st guy just didn't know the difference between customer orders and orders or the listener misinterpreted.

I had seen on CNN that Chrysler had 250,000 people interested in the car. I believe that chrysler was to send to thoses people E-mails or Fliers about the car once it goes on sale.
Thats alot of freakin people. I think It would be cool if chrysler outdid the 1964 Mustange selling craze..Bet we would get the Charger faster if the Pronto sold like mad!!
Enthusiasm sells cars!!!
