View Full Version : Bad news from the dealer yesterday
The 1st week, they got 3 allocations. But the past 2 weeks, they only got 1 each week. They originally said to expect it by end of May. If the allocation situation continues, it won't go to D status for 14 more weeks, and I'm guessing it will be 6 or 8 weeks after that to arrive. That puts it at 22 weeks from now, or almost 6 months, total.
Are any of you others haveing the same problem?

Sorry to hear that Bob - guess that is the shape of things to come . . . there is a long waiting list here as well.
I did see a cool looking black one around town the other day - think it had dark grey bumpers . . . .
Good things come to those who wait - (I know that doesnt help when you want it NOW)

"Good Luck on your project."
I found where a salesman posted that they will make a projected 5200 of them in the next month. Full production is supposed to get to 3600 a day.
Anyone know how many Chrysler dealers there are in North America?
I'm afraid there won't be light in the tunnel for a while. So much for summer vacation or car shows in a PT Cruiser...

Word from the top indicates that DC will be building more PT CRUISERS than 300M's and CONCORDE'S combined.
If that be true, then the ultimate destination for PT CRUISERS in large numbers are the leasing/rental companies.
The down side is that there will be much less for retail owners. While the up side is that there will be "program car" PT CRUISERS in a little less than a year. If past history of the SEBRING CONVERTIBLE holds true.
Ordering means nothing, allocation means everything.
Every scheme in the country will be employed to extract the last dollar possible out of the PT CRUISER by the big time, big "volume", "profit maximizing" so called dealers, while the small dealers will sell their's at real world price and go without for months at a time.
Looking forward to seeing the first one at our store, already gone KZ T status and the floor plan has already paid for it...so should be here shortly.
