Didjagetit? Now that you're driving it, what do you like and dislike? Can you give those of us who admire the Cruiser from afar something to think about while we wait?

Welllll, I didntgetityet, http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/frown.gif but I did have a pretty good test drive. http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/smile.gif Impressions - Solid, quiet car. We were on surface street in mid-town Atlanta, waiting at a stop light. Wife rolls down the window and all of a sudden we hear the roar of the bus stopped next to us. With windows up we didn't even realize it was there. http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/cool.gif

Next we hopped out on the Interstate. Merge lane goes into Car Pool Lane then into #1 (fast) lane. No problem merging and no wind buffeting of any kind. I was thoroughly impressed. http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I look forward to having it my way!

You've reassured meÂ*Â*thanks. I've been wondering how four cylinders can move over 3000 lbs. with any kind of performanc

Last weekend at the "Mopars at the Rock" event, an older gentlemen had his new, fully loaded PT entered in the show. He was allowed to run the quarter, he ran an 18.4 ET, sorry I don't recall a mph. That was a full 2 seconds slower than the slowest neon. Just something more for everyone to think about.

Slowwwer than a Neooon?! A fast walk? Terrific. Now what should we doÂ*Â*wait for a Neon Want-to-be, or add on an extra year for the possibility of a 2002 Turbo? What to do? Bob, why don't you weigh in on this? And, where are those pampered Canadians . . . merrily driving their PTs no doub

You guys kill me... "Pampered Canadians"..huh as if. We have had 5 PT Cruisers in. 1 is for road tests, 1 wents out for a hospital lottery prize, 1 was delivered yesterday, 1 is being delivered next week, and the last one come in the day before yesterday. The 3 that are retail deliveries were ordered months ago. So it's not like we just order cars and get them right away.

The only thing I'm worried about is when one of these babies gets smacked up. Then there will be a very long wait for sheetmetal because they are building these cars and probably won't have much availible.

Let's hope I'm not right.

I did see another mag with a 8.9 sec 0-60 article (I forget, now, and it was Silver or Taupe).

Its ok, I don't want the wife tempted to race Neons http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/smile.gif

Six-pack confirmed my suspicions when he said, "Got 4 more in this week". I KNEW IT! I suppose it's four more than last week. And, another four more, next week. All those 16-wheelers loaded with PTs really are heading up to Canada! The rigs don't even slow down through Mpls. as they shoot up 35W. But the real heartbreak here is poor Bob, patiently waiting in Chicago since February for just one Cruiser. Just one. For his loving wife.

"Four more"? It's just plain Canadian greed. That's all it is.

Canadian greed????
If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black....
I imagine that they will be turning off the tap real soon. How many PT's are at the dealerships in your area? I know how many have been though the one I work at, but there is 7 more dealers in and around the city I live in. I have got no idea how many they had.

MrGreenjeans I'm sure you have as many PT's in your area as we have received here.
If you saw a truck full of them I am sure they were not coming to Canada, but somwhere within trucking distance of where you saw them.
Dealer allotment of something hard to get is usually a political thing. Good dealers in DC's eyes get a higher quota or quicker delivery.

Even if we were getting more PT's, it would be the first time Canada got anything before the US already had it for months before us.

Personally, I think its a computer glitch where they sorted by zip code, alpha 1st, then shipped cars.

Perhaps the cleanliness of the contryside surrounding the dealership is used in the allocation scheme as well.

Oh well, They will build it, I know they will,

Mopars at the Rock, Time was 18.1 at 78, I have the time slip to prove it, I am the 'older" gentleman. Next time I'll take it out of second gear.

You sound sincere, 6-pack & Speedwobble, but your apologies for ordering too many PT Cruisers do nothing to provide one to Bob's loving wife (patiently waiting in Chicago since February). Do you have families? Then you understand. Ironic, isn't it? Canada has always been a very friendly and generous country. Hmmm...

Who knows. Maybe they had a bunch of speedo's in kilometers and not enough in miles. http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Or it could be that sixpack, like myself works at a dealership and sees these cars coming in. Once they are sold they are probably kept in a garage so you don't see them. Besides, in the last three days I haven't seen any more come in. http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/cool.gif

This just in...... I've heard another dealer in town has six! Now if every dealer in my area had 5 or 6 of them..... Maybe we are pampered Canadians after all. http://www.moparchat.com/ubb/cool.gif
