1997 Jeep AM/FM (only) radio
I am replacing the OEM (it has the gray and black 7 pin plugs) radio in my 1987 Aries Wagon. New radio is from a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. Shouldn't this be a simple plug/bolt in proceedure? It is jut an AM/FM radio....no tape or CD. The wagon has 2 front & 2 rear speakers. Thanks for any info. -PTTaylor

Should be just that easy
Since 1984 all of the chrsylar wireing harness are the same, I'm pretty sure. So it will work.

You shouldnt have a problem with the connectors. One problem you might have is that 1 of the connectors might be more narrow and wont fit in the headunit right. Im not sure on it, but most likely it will work.

AM?FM Installed....
Finally got the radio in. Everything plugged in fine. Mount holes were good. I was amazed at how pathetic the front dash speakers are in this old Aries K-car. I took the dash pad out to check non-functioning left speaker. They look like something out of an old 386 computer used for beeps and boink sound effects!! At least I have noise now. Thanks guys! -PTT
