Question 1984 Dodge Ram 150 question

Howdy Folks,
I recently got a 1984 Dodge Ram 150 from my dad. Since I wasn't wanting anything fancy or expensive as far as a radio was concerned, I got a Pioneer 1995 model cd player that puts out 30 watts. As far as speakers are concerned I don't know what wattage they are as my dad had them replaced sometime back in the late 80's/early 90's. And they have carpet over the face of the speakers. Does anybody have any suggestions as far as making it sound a little better? Thanks.
