Can anyone explain to me what a DSP does? Digital Signal Processor.

A DSP is used for voice proccessing and speech recognition.

a dsp more or less, curves the music to your preferences. it can make it sound like you're in a studio, music hall, or many others. sometimes, they even have built in equalizers.

Its more less a toy, something to make people awe over. They are rarely used in serious car audio set-ups. if your just looking for equalization, check out the half-din EQs that are available. They offer higher voltage outputs and are more practical, not to mention way less expensive.
