Does anyone have a good idea as to how I can get a CD out of my CD player. I do not want to damage the CD if I can help it. I have the original CD player (infinity) that came with my 96 Ram 1500. I have not had any problems with the player before. When I crank up or turn off the truck, I can hear the player trying to eject the CD with no results. I have considered taking the CD player out and tearing it apart but I am looking for other alternatives.

Try taking the player out and unpluging it then plug it back in.I've found sometimes this resets it.If that doesn't work tear it apart, but let me warn you they are a pain in the a$$ to get apart.

I cut off the power as you suggested with no luck. So I went ahead and removed the CD player from the dash. I was then able to remove the face of the player(this part was a pain the butt) and then get the CD out. After putting everything back together it all works fine. Thanks for the advice. I was hoping that pulling the plug would be the trick. Some things just can't be that easy.
