My amp got wet, now it's dead
Hi,
I hope I'm in the right place. My Sebring convertible got wet, I didn't realize it, and now my Infinity amp is dead. The top wasn't down, but how it got wet is another story. I have some questions. First, can I cahnge the wiring and use the Infinity amp from a 99 Jeep? Second, is there a good place to pick up a replacement amp? I'm don't need anything good, just a simple replacement, and maybe even the same one. Third, is it possible to just eliminate the amp, or do the speakers need the power? If it helps, I have the Infinity system with the 6 disc in-dash changer and the amp under the passenger's seat in my 97 Sebring JXI. Thanks a lot! |

you could possibly work all those speakers without the amp but it will be very underpowered and probly sound like crap.....and another thing did u check the fuse to ur amp?
as for the jeep you`d prolly be best of with a different amp if u want qaulity as in distortion ratio`s u can go here www.cdzone.net but dont let the numbers full you as to the power capabilities...hope this helps |
