Default Boston Accoustic's....................................... ............................

COLOR=orangered]Has anyone used any Boston Accoustic's products? They were highly recommended to me by a freind. I looked at the website and they are a bit pricey. Are they worth the extra money? If you have used them, what speakers did you specifically use?[/COLOR]

I have heard them in installations in a couple of Lexus cars. They sound very good, but they are pricey(so are Stillwater Designs). For my ears/money Infinity(Kappa Series) or Cerwin-Vega's are a better "bang for the buck". It's like almost everything else. Mostly up to you in the end. Personally, a car/truck is such a poor audio enviroment(road/engine noise), at some point you get to the old "deminishing returns". You spend 4 times the money for 3-5% better sound.

Boston makes excellent products but don't represent a good value.

For some excellent values, check out products from www.adireaudio.com

The Koda series of components seems to compare favorably with the Dynaudios and Focal Utopias of the car audio world at about 1/3 the cost.

I don't know about Boston's car stuff but the bookshelf speakers I've had for ten years sound great. Sounded better than the Infinitys the store had right next to them.
