98dak have fac amp how install cd player?

k the kenwwod cdplayer was in my 87 gran fury so i used the wiring harness i already had for my truck my kenwood is like 45 watt by 4 or what ever so do i need to turn off my stock truck amp because it would be getting too much watts?
k this is how i hooked it up

CD player harness that plugs into cd player has
1 yellow wire
1 red wire
1 black wire which i grounded
1 blue and white-says p. cont
8 speaker wires they are alll hooked up right for sure

Black harness that has to be wired to the cd player harness has
1 blue-power antenna
6 speaker wires -all hooked up right

Grey harnessthat has to be wired to the cd player harness has

1- red which is connected to cdplayer red wire
1- yellow which is connected to cd player yellow
1- orange and white wire dimmer not hooked up dont know where its sapose to go
1- orange illumination/dash light not hooked up dont know where it goes

so why isnt it workin now its somethin with that amp isnt hooked up or something where do i hook it up to make factory amp turn on its fine with stock radio turns right on with kenwwon comes on but no sound
do i have to splice into the trucks wiring harness and find the ampwire and run power to it to make it turn on the sound or what? this thing makin me mad
