Default Any interest in pro-quality system diagrams?

A friend of mine started doing these about a year ago, originally just because he had run out of stuff to do in photoshop and was getting bored.

He wants to guage people's interest in these. There would be different versions. he could sell you the image, or bitmap file, which you could use to print out or have on a monitor at shows.

The second would be where he would print it out himself on photo paper, and mail it to you (you would still get the bitmap file sent to you to do with as you please)

The third version would be where he would print out the image, then sandwich it between two sheets of lexan, made to the size you want. These could be 8x10, or smaller if you wanted it incorporated into the install someplace.

Right now he's just guaging interest, if people seem genuinely interested he'll make his first prototype for his car. After that, if interest is still there, he would take people on a first come first served basis. These take alot of time to put together.

What would be required of you, would be:

A) What style you want, cartoony, straightforward, high detail (absolutely everything marked) What size you need, etc... As many of you already know, he can make almost anything in photoshop, so feel free to ask for whatever you want.

B) If you want your car in the background images, he'll need pictures of the car, preferably high res. He can find most any equipment pics, but cars are generally unique.

C) No pricing has been set in stone yet, this is just a fun project for him and he isn't looking to get rich on it. Figure somewhere around $20 for doing the image which usually takes a day to make, lexan sandwiched version or paper version would be more. He would probably ask another $5 for a photo paper version, and for the lexan version, you would pay for the cost of materials and $10 in addition to the 20.00. Obviously for multiples he would ask more. Add shipping and that's that. After taking your request, he will give you a low res blurry ass version. At this point you can ask for changes to be made, if all is well, you send your money (via paypal) and when received, he'll mail you the completed piece, along with a CD including the file, and maybe some sweet luscious porn.

You can respond with questions/comments or email myself or Luke (the artist) to ask questions.

Here are some quick examples he threw together. The finished product would probably exceed the quality of these.

I'd be interested....when I'm done with everything (like that will ever happen). But seriously, he does good work, and it would definitely make my display stand out at any shows.

As far as what style, I prefer simple but elegant...sort of an etched-glass look on lexan would be perfect for what I would want.

Hope this spawns some interest.

Dan
