Default radio wiring???

i installed a newer mopar tape deck (late 80s-early 90s) in my 79 trailduster got every thing wired except the wire for "park" on the grey plug looking at back of radio: batt,acc,ilum,park,fl-,fr-,mute, what is park, what does it do, what does it go to +,- switched constant? any help would be great thanks in advance.

does this tape deck help your trailduster go faster??? didn't think so. I am moving this from Performance Talk to the correct Forum.

If I'm not mistaken the "park" wire is connected to your park lights (+) and is used with the illumination wire to control the dimming of the radio lights. If you dont use it the radio will work fine but the lights (in the radio) may act goofy. the easiest place to make the connection is probably going to be at the switch.

Oh yeah and I thought new stereo did make you faster just like stickers!!!!!
