two things to check:
is your gain maxed? most newer kenwoods have 4-9 volt outputs your amp could be clipping.
does your amp have adequate airflow? if it is mounted under a seat and air can't get to the fan it could be overheating.

what is the exact amp model #? what is the sub's model #?

It's a new federal anti-annoyance regulation.

it's like I told my kids when they played music in the house. They can listen to anything they want, as long as I don't have to hear it.

Thumping my doors so they vibrate at a stop light is rude and obnoxious and there is no reason other drivers should be required to share musical bad taste while driving down the public highways.

What ever happened to common courtesy.

Have you ever had a loud exhaust of any type?

Don't get me wrong, I agree with your sentiments, but I see too many hypocrites in the vintage car circles rip kids with bass, then turn their car on to hear some obnoxious exhaust system.
