Default pioneer cd player question

Hey guys , I have an pioneer cd player i bought used and installed in my challenger. It worked fine at first but now the digital screen is not working properly. One day it will be on and one day it will not.I get everything else on it to work raido and cd player just cant tell the tracks or stations . I double checked the instlation and all is ok that i can tell. what can cause this ? Is it a internal prob with the unit?I have detached the face and cleaned the connections to no avail still no screen . Any help is apprecated .

You probably have a loose internal connection. If it is on the faceplate you can probably disasemble it yourself and re solder the connection (as long as you know how to solder), but if it is in the head unit you should probably have the unit sent to a repair shop. Any local Pioneer dealer should be able to give you the name of a local authorized repair shop.

good luck

Julian

Thanks i will give that a try .If it is a prob with the unit and i have to send it for a repair is it very expensive (worth fixing ) or would a new one be a better route to follow .
Thanks

Won't be expensive, that's the truoble with second hand audio equipment, you don't know exactly what your getting and you can't take it back to the shop for a refund or swap.
I always buy new and always will do.
Definitely a loose connection, sometimes it's very minor, like a tiny twitch - you could fix it but it might come back.
I'd go dtraight to the repair shop incase you do more damage
