Hey
Looking for help with my audio system. Have a Concord LXI (2000) with 44000 miles on it. In Jan. I had a dead battery. Got a jump and when the engine started the radio wouldn't play, the cd/changer lights were flashing and also the controls for the bass/trebble etc. were flashing. I pulled the fuse for the system as I was worried there might be a short in the system that caused the battery to go dead. Then I thought perhaps the fuse was bad so I put a new fuse in and the lights on the balance controls flashed but not the ones on the cd/changer. Any ideas or new threads would be appreciated. Thanks. Ron

I moved your post to its own thread.

Does your radio have the anti-theft feature? If so, any time you disconnect power, like what would happen when a radio is stolen, the tuner goes dead, rendering it useless and not a favorite item to steal.

The same thing can happen if you disconnect the battery without nulling the security code. The code is usually one selected by the original owner and I don't believe dealers can salvage the radio. I had it happen once on a new car. The dealer actually made the mistake and they had to pull it out and send it to Chicago to have it repaired with a new chip.

Hey Dick -
Thank you for the response to my problem. My car does have an anti-theft security system. Seems like that could be the problem. I will check with the dealer and see what they say. Sounds like just my luck ) Anyway, thanks again for the answer. Ron
