Thought I'd bump this thread with some pics I found online.

These are Mirada's....right? I'm looking at the opera window and overall roofline.

Yep...them's Miradas alright! Except for maybe the 3rd one. Kinda looks like a Granada to me, but it's kind of a fuzzy pic.

The cars in the first 2 pics look to be using the Kit Car program Mirada bodies. I actually owned the mold to build those bodies in the late 80's. I bought the whole mold (except the roof) from a guy in Minnesota who sprayed the bodies for Chrysler when they went to the Mirada body for the Kit Cars at the very end of the program. I was running a Late Model-type class at the time, and the fiberglass one piece front end seemed like a great idea at the time. I also had the mold for the asphalt nose with the monster fender flares, and the quarters with the huge flares like you can see in the first pic.

Before everyone starts asking....no, I do not have the molds anymore, and only have one part out of the dirt nose mold. The molds were sold when I moved in the late 90's, and I dont know what happened to them after that.

Wow, thanks for the history lesson.

I've always loved the wedge look of 80s cars and within the past few years learned about the Miradas.

Our lebaron has a pointy back window.
The one car looks like it says Granada on the 1/4 panel, IDK.

Heres one of mine from a few years back. I haven't raced for 3 years now. and I just about cant stand it any more. I am going to get a car but don't know which way I'm going to go. The local track. boydraceway.net only dose the IMCA classes. I really don't know how the rules will faver a mopar. I am even considering the compact fwd class. Just a question are the EQ mopar heads legal and if so that would make the street stock a interesting option as I could buy a metric car thats legal and run a 360 with flattops and 60cc chambers could get some decent comp and the #7545 intake is better than the gm one. Any Ideas for me? I real mostly ran mods but the rules for the southern sport mod really don't look like it would save any money over a regular mod.

Dirt I am not sure if IMCA will let you run the EQ heads. I know they won't let us on the Northern Sport Mods but you might give em a jingle and see what they say on the Stock Cars. Also you might want to consider the Edelbrock intake since the Weiand is obsolete.
