Default What tires/wt percentages-hobby stock IMCA

P205/70R15,P205/75R15 or P205/70R14,P205/75R14 depending if I will run 14's or 15's. What brand tire should I price? No added weight allowed but I can shift some items. What is my IDEAL left/right and rear percentages to shoot for? thank you for your time. EDIT it's an A body

Default tires/ballast

either of those 4 sizes. No added ballast but I can run up to a 22 gal tank & battery/box can be in trunk or inside so I have some wiggle room here & there. It's a .4 mile high banked rough dry slick dirt track

Default tire brand

I had heard Cooper Cobra's were good but you cant get em anymore in 205/15's. I have seen some brands out there (dont remem what brand) & they were obviously wider than the same sizes on other cars (205's)

When I bought my new car, it was raced on dirt before I changed it to pavement, the guy who built the car made the fuel tank so it could be moved
front to back, and side to side to move weight around, on rails and pins.
I don't know safe that is, but it seemed to work, the car only raced on dirt 4 times and had 1 main win before I got it.

Yeah....about that. IMCA doesnt allow any adjustable fuel cell mounts.

Your ideal percentages: cross: 51-54%, depending on whether or not you like to drive it in or throw it in.
Left: you're gonna end up at about 51 or 52% without being able to add weight.
Rear: gonna be damn lucky to get to 49-50%. Even with a full fuel cell & the battery in the trunk.

Tire brand: whatever you can afford to get cut off quite often. Primwells are the hot deal right now, but getting harder to find. Supposedly discontinued.

I had a practice today and i used a firestone indy 500 on RR , Worked better than I thought. I would not go over 50% cross, a rule i use is less rear wt less x wt. I never run over 50% cross and I have good rear wt.
