IMCA mopar I stock possibly for last years nation champ
While I was at Centex motorsports last saturday to get a tire, being the only Mopar guy around here, one of the guys said they where looking into possibly doing a Mopar 360 w/EQ heads for Keith White(2011 I Stock Nat Champ 5 time Southern Spt mod nat champ) and are looking at what body to use on a metric chassis. If they do it I know Keith White would do the Mopar name good as he is probly the best I have seen in anything he drives. Might even wake up the chevy guys to Mopar if he goes Mopar.

I think they were the guys who called and asked me a bunch of questions a few weeks ago. I didnt realize it would be Keith White's car though. That would be pretty cool to see him in a Mopar!

We are making waves up here in northern Iowa with our MOPAR powered stock car We have ours shoehorned into an 06 SCS chassis with a Stratus coupe body on it.

Dan didn't put on here that he won the A-main Sat. night against some tough competition! Have pictures at home on computer and will try to post a couple later tonight. This was his 10th race in an IMCA Stock Car. He has feature wins in 3 IMCA clases now: Hobby stock, Sportmod and Stock Car. Not sure how many IMCA wins he has but is around 50 somewhere and won the Boone Supernationals the first year they ran Hobby Stocks there.

Wow! Was that in a Mopar? I thought that we were the first to make the "Big Show" in a Mopar Hobby Stock. What's Dan's last name, if ya dont mind me asking?

I have often wondered the same on the chassis having to be a "metric" GM, but one way to look @ it, it thins the GM herd conciderably and its easier for the tech guys to keep up with... Besides when was the last time the 'other' guys actually used a frame and not uni-body configuration with the shorter wheelbased cars.....

We wanted out of the Sportmod class as we were tired of getting torn up by a bunch of idiots that couldn't drive but could wreck a lot of cars. Choice was hobby stock or stock car. Chose stock car because we could run our floater and a lot of the other parts, and we could run our Mopars on the GM metric frame. Have 20 years experience with the metric frame and would be totally out to lunch on what to get for a Mopar chassis and how to make it go around the corners! Need to have a cage built to be able to fit the FWD body fit on it right. Halo has to be about 4-6 inches narrower and about 2 lower. This is an 2006 SCS chassis we bought out of a barn in Minnesota real cheap. Cut a lot of extra bars and plates out of it to lighten it up so we could put weight where we wanted it. Has to be 2950 and right now it is 3070 after winning Sat. night. Has about 180lbs of bite in it and works really good on the bottom or top.
