Default Blowby?

We're running a 360 engine with magnum heads and have started to get some oil seeping out of the rear crankcase breather. I'm thinking it's probably just blowby but after a longer feature we do have a fair amount, so it could be that the oil is not draining back down to the pan fast enough and is just pooling up. I'm just searching for any thoughts. How much oil/blowby is too much? Thanks.

The old Mopar Performance books had a an oiling mod of hooking an oil line to the passenger rear valve cover back down to the front of drivers side oil pan. It puts the oil back in the pan much faster and keeps the valve train in air.

You can tap the rr corner of the head just above the oil drain back and run a flexible line into the pan using a bulkhead fitting.

oil return line is the quick fix and running forward breathers running sticky's oil mods to the block I have found the oil return line is not needed as much

Thanks for the responses. We'll probably just try for a quick fix for now and tear it down this offseason. I know the engine is in need of a refresh anyways.

Try welding the breather or the right closed and put two breathers on the left valve cover toward the front. Never put breathers on right valve cover.

I do have both breathers on the left valve cover and none on the right. We switched to a breather with the shield and put the shield in the back on the rear breather. It at least helped keep the oil from dripping onto the manifold.
