318 vs 360
Hey guys I run a Duster on 3/8 asphalt with a pretty large bank. We have been racing for 3 years and had good success with our 360. Out power everything out of the corner and in the straight. My question is how would a 318 compare? It is time to go through the engine and I wanted to build a spare anyway. The biggest issue I have had is oil temperature with the 360, a few times 300*+! I know I will lose torque but the lighter assembly may rev faster. What are your thoughts? Anyone prefer 318?

I have used 318 blocks bored to 4.00 with no problem. Then have the crank mains to 318 size and your good to go. High oil temp issues can be many things. clearances too tight, rod side clearance to tight (need .020-.025). to heavy oil will also cause high oil temp.
