Yes. Without that core plug under the rear main cap the oil won't run through the filter.

Guy's we have salvaged some of the topics and photos over at Log into Facebook | Facebook not sure how many will see this come join the group. And a footnote Charles Sanborn was one of the great men in life we meet who shared tons of information with all of us, I for one will not forget you Sir. Thanks again JC
