Help blower motor speed switch problem 96 Dakota

I working on a 1996 Dodge Dakota V6 magnum 3.9l I haveing problems with the heater ac control that works the blower motor speed. I check the resister and it is good. Its hard to actually get the the on off blower motor switch to find the right exact spot for it to run. But if you turn the truck off and start it back up it stops working. I check the parts places and they dont offer the correct switch for it. I checked for 95 96 and 97 model trucks and none of the have the same switch this truck has. The truck was made on 8 month 1996.
