bought a 4'' lift for my 1987 4x4 half ton. just not understanding the block for the steering box to keep all the math write on the steering. any body have any idea

The block for the steering keeps the geometry the same. The drag link isn't adjustable. So when you lift the truck the link gets at an extreme angle. Changing the angle effectively shortens the drag link.
If you don't put the block in, or get a drop pitman arm, or adjustable drag link. You end up not being able to turn sharp in one direction. |
