2000 Dodge Dakota Reading/Map Light Problem

My Club Cab 4x4 Dakota Reading/Map lights in the stays all the time. I had to remove the bulbs to keep from draining the battery. The first place I decided to look and or test is the door switch (not sure what else to call it) that turns them on when the door is open. Does anyone know where the switch is? Has anyone had this problem?

Have you checked that it's not turned on, at headlight switch
