Brad, I don't think you quite understand what your looking at, moneywise. The supercharger(centrifical or turbo) is just about half of the investment you'll be making. You'll have to upgrade your fuel pump, probably the injectors, get a bigger radiator(moreHP=more heat), upgrade your ignition for boost running, to really get the benifit of the 'charger, you'll need head-work done. I know if you have the 3.55 rear axle, the best money you can spend is to replace it with a 4.10. The change would be the same cost as the 3.92 factory ratio, but the 4.10 will put your engine "on the boil" quicker. After you do that, THEN start your engine up-grades, and the results will be much more sucessful. Look, there's only three ways to make more power; more displacement(not realistic), more compression(tough because of the gas we have) or more RPM. The last is the easiest.Change your gearing, then mod the valve train so it'll handle 7000 RPM(not that hard on the 2.5L). You can probably get 160 HP(crank) at 7000 with out spending a fortune. Then IF you still want a puffer, your engine will handle over-revving easily. Hey, I have driven a naturally aspirated PT with 165HP...quite a bump for about $2000 worth of bolt-ons.
