Biggrin How's a Dropped Dak Drive!?

Hey guy's i just bought a 99 Dakota 3.9 and im wanting to lower it and put different rims on it, First off i would like to know how it would ride since it is going to be my daily driver i was going to go with the 4/6 drop kit, of course i will have to C-notch the frame but thats no big deal. and i was going to go with 17" or 18" rims
don't know tire size maybe some of you guy's that have already done it can fill me in. Thanks David Hughes

Mine's dropped 4/5 with no c-notch(and its never bottomed out) and only 15" wheels and it rides fine. No worse then any of the GM F-bodies Ive owned over the years. Mines a GenII though and I suspect the suspension is totally different. Ive even hauled a riding lawn mower and sod roller in mine with no probs.

My 97s got a 4/6 western chassis kit on it. The kit itself is nice and fairly easy to install. Only problems are with the rear suspension. Those damn rivets are a pain in the ass. Right now I have mine set at 4/5 (cause im lazy and havent got around to c-notching it) and dont have too many problems. Only problems I have are, Front suspension likes to break bumpstops, and rub the tires on fender lips. The rear end almost never hits the frame. Im running Centerline Scorpion Wheels 17x7 in front and 17x8 in back. With Nitto 255/50s in front and 275/50s in back. Any questions???
