it will do nothing for performance. it just makes the turbo whine more if you like the sound of it. to remove it take the intake tube off the turbo (rubber hose from intake to turbo) and the ring is held in by a snap ring. its kinda hidden from veiw but a smll srewdriver and some needle nose will get the job done. again it wont help the performance it is put in there at DC's request by the manufacturer. mine has been out since day one.
