Waste gate
If you limit the air pressure from the turbine to the waste gate with an in-line orifice reducer, the boost will rise. Unfortunately, the ECM will not let that happen unless a "boost fooler" is installed between the MAP sensor and the ECM.
Do a google search for "boost foolers". There is a company in Great Falls, Mt. that builds them. I've had one of theirs for 10 years with no problems. Runs over 35 PSI now. |

Also, boost is not HP.!!!
Power comes from the fuel. You could, ( not recomended), put a small turbo on it, exhaust side. This will spin it harder, should make more boost!!! Power would be down because the exhaust side can't breath!!! |

Pardon me
Boost is horsepower. Boost allows more fuel to be burned efficiently, and keeps EGT in safe limits. No boost, no fuel allowed by the ECU. No extra fuel, no power increase.

If you are looking at doing this on your '07, I would recommend the Edge Juice with Attitude or with the CTS. It has boost fooling, modifies the low boost fueling (over comes the turbo lag), and many other great features.

If more boost is more power without fuel how can you explain this.
The guys who buy an aftermarket cam claim less boost with more power and mileage! If the head is ported, less boost is reported!!! Because of more air flow. It is all a question of where this boost is measured!! More boost will cause more back pressure in the exhaust. Does this help or hurt power? |

isn't that something that you don't want to do that will do some serious damage to the turbo and possibly the engine?? |
