Thumbs down 97 Gts

Hello all, I just purchased my 97 VIPER and encountered my fist anomaly. Can anyone tell me why with doors shut engine running I cannot open driver or passenger doors/

PS - I am not moving when trying to activate door release

Welcome to the board Dgo 200.

Here's what the factory service manual says:

"The vehicle will automatically lock if the speed is greater than 5 to 8 mph or if CCD communication is lost with the ignition key in the run position."

So, you're probably asking "what the hell is the CCD?" The CCD "bus" is the 2 wire communication network that all the computers share information on, your problem probably the result of a faulty control module. Do a google search using ccd bus.

I think you will need at least a code reader to troubleshoot or maybe even a DRB III.

P.S. I also have a '97 GTS, red.
