Larry Macedo had been improving my Viper for some time and it was finally delivered to me yesterday.
Here's some numbers for you now - 2000 RPM = 270 RWHP & 720 RWTQ 2500 RPM = 360 RWHP & 750 RWTQ 3000 RPM = 420 RWHP & 760 RWTQ 3500 RPM = 520 RWHP & 801 RWTQ 4000 RPM = 595 RWHP & 770 RWTQ 4500 RPM = 625 RWHP & 740 RWTQ 5000 RPM = 675 RWHP & 705 RWTQ 5500 RPM = 700 RWHP & 660 RWTQ 6000 RPM = 721 RWHP & 630 RWTQ 6000 RPM = 721 RWHP & 630 RWTQ 3500 RPM = 520 RWHP & 801 RWTQ I'm very pleased with the quality of the total installation. |

Updating this - I confused noise with power and believed what Larry Macedo had told me. In reality I gained about 30 rear wheel horsepower at most. Three seperate independent dynos all found my car to make around 650 rear wheel horsepower, NOT ANYWHERE CLOSE to the 721 rear wheel horsepower that Larry Macedo claimed.
Larry Macedo got a second chance to make the car right and he took months and even deliberately put in the wrong reach spark plugs! The car also ran horrible when it was returned around 5 months later. It was impossible for any tuner to tune it because Larry Macedo used too long push rods and adjusted the roller rockers 2 turns too tight. While in his possession much damage - gouges, rips, breakage - occurred to the Viper's interior. The Roe Supercharger was damaged by excessive spinning in an effort to get the claimed power numbers - Larry used overdrive crank pulley and small diameter supercharger pulleys to exceed the supercharger's red line. The exhaust system had a clamp that was not even finger tightened and the exhaust pipes came apart melting metal inside the side sills. There is much more with photographs and descriptions at www.larrymacedoms.com . It took several months and around $36,000 to undo the damage Larry Macedo did to my Viper. Underground Racing, Charlotte, North Carolina ( www.undergroundracing.com ) treated me (and everyone else) right - no false claims to get the customer to spend extra money, taking care of the customer's car as if it were their own (no damage to interior), excellent workmanship is the standard, etc. Larry Macedo was offered a chance to return my money privately and he failed to respond. I hope people choose wisely about taking their cars to Macedo Motorsports. |

Sean Roe ( www.roeracing.com ) sells the Superchargers and other parts, but he didn't install them at the time. I'm not sure if he installs them now. Sean Roe is a great guy to do business with.

have you tried Ligenfelter engineering in Decatur Indiana? they are about the only tuner that I have never heard a real complaint about.
