EAKMOBILE is back home!
I finally got the EAKMOBILE back July 1st after being with Larry Macedo since early last November.
Larry will be coming back to Ohio in a few weeks to do more dyno testing. It is more race car than street car and extremely fast. I will take at least a year or two learning how to drive the beast. 2000 RPM = 720 rearwheel torque 3500 RPM = 801 rearwheel torque 6000 RPM = 721 rearwheel horsepower |

I'd like to see what the quarter mile time is for a monster like that, what are you expecting?

Very nice, that blower looks sweet in there. I also like that it looks stock on the outside.

I would also venture to say that nearly 200K is invested in this car?

Hi Kenny,
nice..... If you have spare HP toss it my way. I know some bulldozers that don't have that much torque. |

Larry Macedo has had my Viper back since September 8, 2006 and appears to still be correcting all problems with it at this very moment.
The last time I drove my Viper and it ran right was November13, 2005 just before it went to Macedo Motorsports. Larry was paid a total of $28,000 in June 2006 for my Viper being completed. Larry emailed me in October that he hopes to have my Viper running right and returned to me sometime in November 2006. My Viper has not been shipped back yet. What is today's date? |

Marry Macedo, at his own expense did put on the AEM-EMS - a computer system that takes the place of the stock PCM and VEC2 - and had my Viper ready to go or still needs more tweeking depending on who at Macedo Motorsports you talked to around December 13 or 15th. Then Larry got the word that AEM had an update and he sent it back to the AEM company on Dec.18. I would hope that my Viper will be shipped back to me in January 2007.

I read on the other forum about them delivering the car totally undrivable. If its not right when they bring it back the next time they wouldnt be getting the Viper back if it was me.

I just want it back at this time. If it's not right I will take it to another tuner. The length of time that Larry Macedo has taken is just not right to have anything short of perfection.

Larry Macedo refuses to return my lawyer's calls about when my Viper is going to be finished and returned to me. His employees say they know nothing about my car, even the employee who had his photo taken working on my car. Emails to both Larry and Wendy Macedo are not being answered as well.
My lawyer was so angry at how he was treated today and the other times he's tried to find out information that he has advised me to sue Larry. |

Oh sh!t! Well, you can't say you didn't give him a chance. You've been more than patient. You ARE going to get your car sent back to you BEFORE you send the legal papers, right? A really, REALLY bad guy would do really, REALLY bad things to a pretty car owned by a guy that's suing him.

I don't want to sue anyone - I just want my Viper fixed right and returned to me. I would think Larry would have wanted to end this as soon as possible since he wanted my car back for a second chance to make it right. Instead of looking like a hero by fixing my car right away, he chose a different path to demonstrate his customer service.

Larry and myself should have signed a contract at the beginning of his project on my car. We had a verbal agreement that would have been just fine if the project went fine. The project did not go fine and there was and still is communication problems. The lack of a written contract has made this much more difficult than it should be.
The paperwork that I am required to sign to get my car back came as a complete surprise to me. If I was forwarded a copy of it at the time that Larry added it, I would have some idea of what I am being forced to sign to get my car back is. It may be an excellent agreement for both parties or it may not. This is a lack of communication that could have been avoided, and hopefully I will be getting a copy of it before it is signed. I do not want to relive the time period from November 13, 2005 (the last day I drove my Viper and it ran right and the day before it was delivered to Larry), until whenever this nightmare ends ever again - not even in a courtroom (I do NOT want to sue) - I just want the Viper that Larry is known for and why I chose him in the first place back home in my garage. Larry has had enough time on his second chance starting September 8, 2006 to have my car running right and the finished product to be something he is proud of. That's good enough for me to accept the car then. Larry has put in the AEM-EMS system on his own and deserves a lot of credit for putting it in out of the profits on my project. Larry also has been saving me a big hassle with some problems with the AEM system and I thank him for that. Simms has been in my car and reported to me that it drives smoother than his car. It sounds like Larry has my car tuned so he can be proud of it and that's good enough for me. Larry says my Viper may be completed by the end of this coming week and either myself or a designated driver of my choice still has to sign papers that neither my lawyer nor myself have ever seen before he will return my Viper to me. |

Your car is being held hostage. Those papers must really be something.
Sir, you have more patience than any 100 people could ever be expected to have. I certainly hope it turns out well for you. Good luck. |

Hopefully your car is in sound condition when you receive it next. The papers may be as simple as a disclaimer or waiver stating that there speed parts on the car that may not be 50 state legal, or it could be something stating that after you receive the car any problems that occur are not his responsibility. That may be the way he gets to wash his hands of it. Be careful.

Buy him a case of beer, or take him out for a nice steak dinner and ask him to tell you, honestly, how the car is and if he truly considers the work to be "complete". I don't know him, but from what you've told us, it would appear that he has done some excellent work in the past for yourself and others. I don't think he really wants his name attached to a project that's gone wrong, and given the chance (yeah, I know...) I'm sure he's make it up to you. The other option is a two year legal battle to get your money back.

I don't want his name attached to a project gone wrong - myself or anyone else's. One of the reason I chose Larry in the first place is that his reputation was so good that it will add value to my Viper when I sell it in 20-30 years.

Kenny,
One question for now, is Larry delivering the car back to you in Ohio or do you have to go to his shop & pick it up on Friday? BB |
