Default Fenderwell headers

I've got a chance to pick up a set of new hooker fenderwell headers for an A body, trouble is I've got a 64 Savoy B body, anyone had any experience with using these headers.
I'd try'em but it'll cost tons in shipping if they dont.

Thanks

Keep a double bladed axe and a sledgematic on hand for the install!

We used some way back. Without contacting the pavement or the front tire they still managed to crack more than once. Later, we did some flow tests on a race set for a 18° SBC in a (real) '57 Chevy. They were awful!! As intuitive as it may seem, I don't think the path taken by fender well headers from the head works very well. Maybe if the head was ported with them in mind, they could be fine. But...

There is no reason to put fenderwell headers on a B-Body. Hacking up the car to make them fit on a car they weren't designed makes no sense at all. There are many headers available for your Savoy. I have used fenderwells on a few different A Body cars & they suck.

so now you guys have me wondering whether to use the fenderwell headers I have on my stroker or not, I got a 500 wedge that's been ported and a dart to put em in..... would I be better off with the stainless shorty headers I have??

I believe TTI makes a very nice chassis exit set for your application.

The fenderwell application is usually VERY close to the master cylinder and may require a heat shield or some other sort of insulation to protect the MC from boiling.
