Default Mopars at the Strip

Does anybody know any more details on that Mopars at the strip thing coming up in Vegas, other than what's on that website or in the magazine ads? It's being advertised as this big high payout Mopar race, but we can't find out any details about it despite emailing them and calling that phone # in the ads. They don't return calls or respond to emails. This is the kind of stuff that makes me wonder about the rest of it. Sounds like a cool deal we would like to attend, but I want to know more stuff first.......

Thanks Mopar Man, that's more than was on there last time I looked. Was some pdf stuff I couldn't do anything with. Do you know the people who are putting this together? Am still wondering why they don't return phone messages or emails. I would kind of like to find out some stuff that's not on the website.

I've got the flyer from work with the payout schedules but to post it here would take a looooongg time to load. I'll try to put it in a separate post and see if it comes up. From what I've heard friday night is a regular night. Saturday sounded like pretty much open track with a possible (probable) gamblers race. Sunday is eliminations day. This is the first year for the event and personally i'm impressed by the amount of advertising and promoting they have done thus far. Probably won't be huge numbers there as the population is spread out alot more out here in the west than the shows back east, but I'm still glad someone is stepping up and trying to get something like this going. I know of fifteen rooms reserved by mopar guys from various Mopar related web boards that are staying at the Speedway Ramada alone.

I haven't met Phil Painter (the guy setting it up) but I have met a couple of his relatives. They're all in our new Mopar club here in Las Vegas. You can check it out at http://www.moparsoflasvegas.com/

Manufacturer's Midway/Swap Meet on site
4 Mopar Magazines will have representatives present
Lots of exhibition vehicles will be present

They are trying to make this the biggest Mopar event in the western half of the US. If the event list is any indication, it should be a great event!

There's plenty of hotels in Las Vegas, they have some special room rates available for the event at the Sahara or the Cannery if desired, and there's a ton of things to do 24x7 in town.

BTW here's some pictures of the event organizer's '70 Challenger R/T that was on display at SEMA:

Default Mopars at the Strip

Does anyone know if they are going to allow overnight camping at the track? It doesn't say anything on the website.

Thanks

Dude, you have to start a new thread and all will help with your carburetor that is dumping fuel for some reason...( stuck float, no jets, etc...)
