Default Kind words for Intense Performance

I just want to post a note about Intense Performance. I had purchased a Stage III kit and for reasons beyond the control of IP, it would not fit on my specific truck.

The level of customer service in diagnosing the problem and eventually returning the Stage III kit was OUTSTANDING.

So rare to get good customer service these days. So when I get good service, I like to let people know.

Question Why Wouldn't It Fit?

PbF00T,

Why wouldn't the IP Stage III fit your truck? I also have a 2001 R/T and I've had the Stage III in my truck for over a year now with no problems. Just curious.

Either my engine is just a bit more towards the passenger side of the engine bay, or the air hat is pointing a bit more towards the firewall.

It looked like this.

Default Doesn't Look Too Bad To Me.

PbF00T,

It doesn't look too out of whack to me. Of course, I'm not there wrestling with it. But mine looks pretty much the same. So what are you going with now? An Intense Performance Stage II (some people prefer the open element anyway)? A K&N FIPK (I would have gone with this if it was available when I got my cold air intake)? I think that most air intakes work pretty well as long as you can get some cooler ait into the engine.
Good Luck.

What you can't really tell from the picture is the angle between the pipe and the filter canister, it was way off.

For now, I'm just running the stock filter. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I might just do nothing and live with it, wait a year or two and get me a hemi Durango.
