Default Engine Light Reset

I ran my 2000 Durango R/T two quarts low on oil, so the engine light came on. Anyone know how to reset it? Thanks!

Having low oil will not turn on the MIL, (malfunction indicator light), on. This light comes on when the PCM has detected an electrical fault with one of its monitored systems. If you run low on oil to the point you loose oil pressure, a chime usually sounds and the check gauges light will come on alerting you to the fact you no longer have oil pressure. You can erase the code and turn off the MIL light by disconnecting the battery, but as long as a fault exists, it will just come back on again as soon as the PCM sees the code again. A dealer can hook up a scan tool and read the code that has been stored and you can go from there.
