Hi all ;
hope someone can help me. I have a growling whine building up in the 3-speed automatic transaxle that has been diagnosed as the torque converter going bad, the problem is that I live in Mexico and the Caravan was not produced here until 1994. I'm being told I need to import parts to rebuild and its gonna be REAL expensive ( more than its worth) My manual says that all Caravan through '95 use the same 3-speed transaxle , if true can't my box be rebuilt with '94 parts, or are there subtle differences from year to year. If I can interchange parts I will save a ton of money, if not I will have to wait till someone could bring me parts from States, which means I could be without the van for a LONG time. Any help or thoughts will be appreciated! twoguise |

You should be able to just order parts the same as a 94
you can use a 94 torque convertor if you use the input shaft as well. If you need both diff bearings for your 89 then order 2 right side ones , If you order new planetary gear sets order thrust washers to go with them. The overhaul kit will work fine |
