Starter location?
I had read on another chat forum that the magnum engines in the mid 90's Grand Cherokee's had the starter located to the passenger side of the block. Is this correct? The reason I am asking is because I want to use a small block mopar for an engine swap and the clearnce is tight around the steering box.

Yes, that is correct, the starter is different than a normal Mopar mini starter as well.

A GC with 4.0L engine would have a 42RE transmission, the 5.2L would have a 46RE.
