That truck just doesn't look right, too square in the rear, too round up front, just an uncomfortable looking design, stinkin' IFS, 3.7l only makes 20 more HP and 10 more ft/lbs at a 500 RPM more than the 4.0l (I think I'll take the old 4.0l). WOnder how soon these things will start rolling like the Liberty's did when they first came out.

I agree with BJoe. its too boxy in the rear. I also dont like the buggy Benz headlights. And as for the interior... i really hate that white steering wheel. actually, i hate the white interior all together. But I'm sure they will have the charcoal and grey as well. The one REALLY BIG dissapointment to me is the removal of oil pressure and voltage in the instrument cluster. I dont know about you, but i like to know if my oil pump fails or if my alternater decides it dosnt want to work anymore. granted the cars of today are alot more reliable, but you never know! The independant front suspension is another downfall if you ask me. I'm getting tired of all these "I look like a truck, and ride like a car" SUVs. Thats all fine and dandy when its a lincoln. But not a jeep! The hemi is the new GC's only strong point. SHAME ON YOU CHRYSLER!!! I almost hate it more then the 95-96 Orvis.

I dont think they can make a Jeep better then the 98 5.9 limited. Thats just my opinion. But until i can get one of those, ill stick with my 93 Limited.

oh and one more thing. The 2004 Grand Cherokee DID NOT HAVE A 5.9!!! It came with a 4.0, 4.7 & 4.7HO. STUPID!!!

ok, i guess i was a little to harsh on the new GC. i was at the new york auto show and they had a few 05's laying around. i must say in person this truck looks SOOOOOO much better. I was also right about the interior. looks TONS better in dark grey. Even the flat back looks great. I took pic's like crazy of all the jeeps there. maybe if i get my scanner working ill start a thread on it.
