cappasjeep;

Most of us Americans do not understand kw. Can you change this to HP?
Also, this will end up getting moved to the Jeep forums I bet.

bhah! Now thats a million dollar question...

Doubling horse power with a small i6.

Rebuild your motor, and fab up a twin turbo kit for it.

cross your fingers and hope it doesnt explode.

otherwise, swap in a v8 and that would be alot easier/cheaper then the alternative.

You could probably do a cold air intake kit, and an exhaust kit, and maybe make 10->20hp, maybe take off the head, shave it a bit, get it ported/polished and put on bigger valves, and maybe make another 20hp, and then if yer EFI, put on some bigger injectors, and do a cam kit on it aswell, that may give you a 20-30hp depending.

So by doing that, you could gain 50-70hp; if you want more, you would prolly have to start modifying the internals of the motor.

Is this a 4cyl or a 6 cyl. (DID I miss something?)
How much it will set you back depends on how much you pay for parts and where you get them as well. Not to mention who is doing the work.
NO one can answer that question. You need to do some research on prices. Start web surfing.

I remember seeing a stroker kit available for the 4.0L I6, I think to 4.7L. But that was years ago when I was into four-wheeling, and I didn't take my meds today either. Good luck.
