Default Southern Accent

A Yankee traveling down south around Christmas time finds himself broke down in a small town.

While he is waiting for the repair he wanders around town and comes across the Nativity scene in the Square. They are all there, the donkeys, the camels, baby Jesus, Mother Mary, Etc. One odd thing though, the three wise men are wearing turn out gear and fire helmets.

The Yankee goes into the diner for coffee, and says to the waitress, "What's up in the nativity scene? The three wisemen are dressed like firemen."

The waitress looks at him and says, "Dontcha y'all dang Yankees iver read yer bible? Says right thar in the good book, "and the three wisemen came from a far!"

OK Since I am a Yankee who moved South nearly 30 years ago, let me make a couple of corrections, here.

1. There isn't any "diners" down here, we have "places to eat".
2. The waitress wouldn't have said :"Yankees", should would have said "yankas" .
3. Remember, "Y'all" is singular. "All y'all" is plural.

lmao...
