This has to be awkward for Penski, Championship in the Dodge buidling their own engines, going to Ford next year with Roush engines! not sure that was the smart way to go. I hope Mopar will get back in it soon, the 2013 cars will look more like the production cars and the one Penski did for Dodge looked really good just need a team now. Kinda bitter sweet.

I liked it when Penske bragged on the engines "not one failure all year"

Did you see Ralph Giles at the awards cerimony friday night on speed channel. I wonder if he regrets not being more pro-active on the Nascar side. I know he is into the viper series that nobody except rich guys watch. Maybe he will get into the V8 supercars or something elese that most of the US doesn't see on TV. Nascar has finally allowed the bodies to look more like street cars and Dodge doesn't have a team! Sad!

It all goes back to when Dodge was in financial trouble and put all their eggs in one basket (Penske) works fine till someone drops the basket (Penske and Dodge couldn't reach a new deal) then your out of eggs and the chicken's been eaten already. There was no suitable replacement team offer, facts are there are only a few championship quality teams in nascar why spend tens of millions of dollars (per year) to barely be in contention for race wins never mind a season championship.
